Southwestern Highland County approximately 50 miles east of Cincinnati. With a population of

With a 35 minute drive to the Eastgate area, Mowrystown is located 5
minutes north of State Route 32. Our county seat is Hillsboro, a

Pondlick
Herb Farm:
Located at 7190 Pondlick Road on a farm outside of Sugar Tree Ridge,
in the Mowrystown area, this farm with an 1800's log cabin is the
essence of Appalachian culture in Southern Ohio, complete with a gift
shop that includes herbs and other hand-made items. With trails
and an abundance of native flowers and other natural beauty, Pondlick
Herb Farm is a must-see for any nature or outdoor enthusiast.

Whiteoak
High School:
Includes grades seven through twelve and a student-to-teacher ratio of
19.3 to 1. Whiteoak High School is the home of the Whiteoak Wildcats.
In recent years a major expansion and renovation project was completed
to include new classrooms and a gymnasium. More information
